Mother’s Day Special | San Kiang’s Heartwarming One-Day Tour: Longwood Gardens + Ashland Village

As the warmth of May arrives, so does Mother’s Day, a time to celebrate love, gratitude, and family. To honor the mothers in our San Kiang community, the San Kiang Charitable Association is pleased to invite all members to join us on a scenic, relaxing, and memorable day trip to Longwood Gardens and Ashland Village on May 10 (Saturday).

First Stop: Longwood Gardens – A World-Class Botanical Wonderland

Located in Pennsylvania, Longwood Gardens is one of America’s most celebrated horticultural destinations. Spanning over 1,000 acres, the garden is home to an enchanting collection of floral displays, conservatories, fountains, woodlands, and meadows. It’s a true paradise for nature lovers.

Highlights include:

• Musical Fountain Shows – graceful water choreography set to music, truly mesmerizing

• Grand Conservatory – home to exotic orchids, roses, tropical plants, and seasonal blooms

• Woodland Trails & Outdoor Flower Beds – perfect for leisurely strolls and springtime photos

More than just a flower-viewing trip, this is a soul-refreshing escape, a tribute to every mother’s nurturing spirit, surrounded by beauty and tranquility.

Second Stop: Ashland Village – A Journey Through Time

In the afternoon, we’ll visit Ashland Village, a quaint historical site that re-creates the charm of an 18th–19th century American town. It offers a glimpse into traditional crafts and lifestyles that shaped early American life.

Experiences include:

• Demonstrations of blacksmithing, pottery, and weaving

• Picturesque wooden houses, mills, and water wheels

• A calm, rustic atmosphere perfect for peaceful reflection and photos
