Standing Together Through Thick and Thin, Demonstrating Responsibility | San Kiang Charitable Association's First Charity Auction a Complete Success
— Bao Ronggang
On September 13, 2026, the San Kiang Charity Association participated in the 5th Annual Mid-Autumn Festival Food Culture Festival and set up a charity sale booth for the first time. Although it was pouring rain in Flushing that day, the bad weather did not dampen the enthusiasm of the Sanjiang members for participating in public welfare and serving the community.

Early that morning, 12 colleagues from the San Kiang Charity Association, including Bao Ronggang, Chen Qinlian, Ying Xiafen, Sun Yongzhong, Li Xiuzhen, Xu Mingxia, Zhang Huisu, Zhang Shengqiao, Li Jian, Dai Yueen, Pan Zhongjiang, and secretary Chen Qunhui, traveled in three cars to the event venue in Flushing.
From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., everyone worked tirelessly. Setting up stalls, hanging banners, displaying goods for sale, greeting customers, introducing products, collecting payments and organizing... everyone had their own tasks and helped each other out. Despite the heavy rain at one point, everyone remained at their posts, welcoming every citizen who came to support the charity sale with enthusiasm and smiles.

This was the first time the San Kiang Charity Association had attempted to raise funds for charity through a charity sale. Although experience is still being accumulated, the first charity sale achieved gratifying results thanks to everyone's concerted efforts and tacit cooperation. The stall was very popular, and sales were significantly better than many surrounding stalls, fully demonstrating the cohesion and action of the Sanjiang people.
Many unforgettable and heartwarming moments occurred during the event.

Besides busying themselves with preparations, the three directors, Xu Mingxia, Zhang Huisu, and Zhang Shengqiao, also took the initiative to serve as "charity models," personally showcasing the charity sale items and introducing them to the customers in a warm and natural manner, adding a lot of popularity and joy to the stall.
While diligently collecting payments, Director Li Xiuzhen also warmly greeted customers and helped introduce products, keeping herself very busy.
Particularly noteworthy is Secretary Chen Qunhui. Early that morning, she drove alone to the office to collect the event banner, print posters, and move chairs and other necessary items. After everything was ready, she immediately picked up other colleagues and they headed to the event venue in Flushing. From pre-event preparations to on-site coordination and post-event cleanup, she was always dedicated and hardworking.
At the same time, we would also like to express our special thanks to Director Chen Xuemei for her hard work and coordination during the preparation and execution of the event, which contributed greatly to its smooth running.
A successful charity event never relies on the efforts of one person, but on a group of people supporting and cooperating with each other for a common goal.
What was most touching that day was not only the success of the charity sale, but also the fact that in the pouring rain, three vehicles and twelve colleagues worked from morning till night without complaint or hesitation, only with a sincere desire to do their part for the public office and for the cause of public welfare.
This is precisely the spirit that the San Kiang Charity Association has always advocated and upheld:
Unity and mutual assistance, respect for the elderly and care for the young, charity as the foundation, giving back to society, and passing on culture.
"When the people of San Kiang are of one mind, their strength can break even metal." In this charity sale amidst the storm, the unity, responsibility, and dedication of the people of San Kiang were most truly and vividly demonstrated.
The San Kiang Charitable Association would like to express its sincerest gratitude and respect to all the board members and colleagues who participated in the event, assisted in the preparation, and made silent contributions!
Thank you all for sacrificing your rest time, braving the rain to work hard for the community office and for your contributions to public welfare. Thank you also to every community friend who came to the booth to support the charity sale.
Because of everyone's contributions, San Kian is more welcoming; because of everyone's concerted efforts, San Kiang's path of public welfare will surely go further and more steadily.
The wind and rain cannot stop the pace of public welfare, and working together shows the responsibility of the people of Sanjiang.
The success of this first charity sale is not only a new attempt, but also a valuable experience for the San Kiang Charitable Association to carry out more forms of community public welfare activities in the future.
In the future, the San Kiang Charitable Association will continue to uphold its original aspiration of charity, unite its members and fellow villagers, and gather community strength to serve the community and give back to society with more practical actions, spreading love and warmth to more people in need.
Once again, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the colleagues who participated in this charity sale: Thank you for your hard work!
