San Kiang Charitable Association of New York Celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival — Sharing Tradition and Community Spirit

On September 21, 2025, the San Kiang Charitable Association of New York held its annual Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, warmly distributing carefully prepared mooncakes to members and friends of the community. This meaningful event not only shared the joy of the festival but also strengthened the bonds among San Kiang families in New York.

On the morning of the event, many members of the Board arrived at the Association before 8 a.m. to serve as volunteers. They worked tirelessly to set up the venue, organize supplies, and prepare for the distribution. With everyone cooperating seamlessly, the groundwork was laid for a smooth and successful event. Their dedication and teamwork truly embodied the spirit of service.

Mooncakes Chosen with Care for Health and Tradition

To ensure food safety and protect the health of our members, the Association specially selected freshly made mooncakes crafted in the traditional way, free from preservatives or any chemical additives. This year’s selection included classic savory pork mooncakes and sweet red bean mooncakes. These treats not only carried the flavors of tradition but also conveyed the Association’s care and concern for every member’s well-being. Each mooncake symbolized love, gratitude, and the timeless meaning of reunion.

Many members and friends took the opportunity to sit down, enjoy conversations, and extend warm wishes of “Happy Mid-Autumn Festival” to one another. The room was filled with laughter, warmth, and the festive spirit of togetherness.

Since ancient times, the Mid-Autumn Festival has symbolized reunion and remembrance. For San Kiang families living abroad, it is not only a time to gather with loved ones but also an opportunity to carry forward cultural traditions. Staying true to its mission of “serving the community,” the San Kiang Charitable Association continues to connect hearts with every mooncake shared and strengthen unity with every celebration held.

The success of this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival celebration would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our volunteers and the enthusiastic participation of our members. The Association extends heartfelt thanks to all who contributed and sends its warmest wishes to every San Kiang family:

May you enjoy happiness, health, and reunion. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
