On July 28, our San Kiang Charitable Association as a part of the New York Chinese community, participated in the large parade against anti-immigrant sentiment and discrimination.

The protest march yesterday was a demand from the Chinese community for equal and fair treatment, calling for the rights of the Chinese community to be valued and protected. The marchers gathered at Foley Square in Manhattan at noon and then headed towards Brooklyn, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, with the final destination being Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn. The entire march was guided by the police and Chinese volunteer teams, maintaining order and attracting a large number of onlookers.

As members of the Chinese community, we have an obligation to participate in yesterday's parade. We took to the streets for our own community, to fight for justice and to save our community. As Chinese people, we must unite.

We urge the government to respect our community,We demand clear and effective communication, such as when adding a homeless shelter in our community.; "justice for all,” “no more disrespect for the Asian community” and “the government should listen to the wishes of the people”;

Braving the scorching heat, facing inconvenient transportation, giving up their own rest time, and even some with mobility difficulties, I want to thank the council members and all the local elders who participated in today's community parade. Thank you for your participation and support. It is because of your continuous support and companionship that the San Kiang Charitable Association has been passed down for over ninety years. San Kiang is proud because of you, and we applaud you. We are grateful to have you.
